09 NIGHTS 10 DAYS EBC DRIVE IN FLY OUT TOUR - Vice Versa
DAY 01: KATHMANDU(1300M) – ZHANGMU(2500M), 123KM/156KM, APPROX
06-08 HRS DRIVE.
Early morning scenic drive through the typically beutiful
Nepalese country side to Kodari (Nepal – Tibet border), on
arrival at Kodari clients has to go through the immigration
formalities in Nepal Immigration and check into the Chinese side
just other side of the river, an hour drive uphill to Chinese
immigration at Zhangmu by Jeep/ bus (some times by truck), after
immigration formalities check in to the hotel or drive to Nyalam
and over night in guest house.
DAY 02: NYALAM – TINGRI , 225KM APPROX DRIVE 06-08 HRS.
Day drive to the highest plateau of the world with typical
landscape offering the sheer feeling of being on the roof of the
world crossing over the 5,050 meters LALUNGA pass, from where
you can view the breathtaking mountain range from Mt.Cho Oyu
(8,201m) Mt.Xishapagma ( 8,012m) dwarfed by the vastness of
Tibetan plateau (if weather permits). One can also take a
magnificent view of Mt. Everest (8,848m) from Tingri. Overnight
in Guest house.
DAY 03: TINGRI-RONBUK, 100 KM APPROX 2 HRS DRIVE:
Drive to Ronbuk and after lunch day excursion in EBC.
DAY 04: RONBUK – LATSE; 154KM AND APPROX DRIVE 4 HRS.
Drive to Latse and over night in guest house.
DAY 05: LATSE-SIGATSE (3,900M), 244KM , APPROX 06-08 HRS DRIVE.
Scenic drive through the highest point, Gyatchu La pass (5,220m)
en route to Lhasa via
Latse. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 06: XIGATSE – GYANTSE (3,950M), 90KM, APPROX 2 HRS DRIVE.
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilumpu Monastery.
Drive through the Tibet’s biggest Agricultural field to Gyantse
and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Palkor Monastery . Over night in
Hotel.
DAY 07: GYANTSE – LHASA (3650M):261 KM.
Full day picturesque drive along the turquoise lake Yamadrok,
crossing over Kampala Pass (4794M) and the Brahma Putra river (Yarlung
Tsangpo). Over night in hotel.
DAY 08 – 09: IN LHASA.
Two full days sight seeing tour to Lhasa including JOKHANG
TEMPLE, BARKHOR BAZAAR, POTATLA PALACE, DEPRUNG AND SERA
MONASTERIES. Over night in Hotel.
DAY 10: LHASA – KATHMANDU
Early morning drive to airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
COST INCLUDES:
Tibet China Visa Fees, Transfer by 4WD Land Cruiser in Tibetan
part and Jeep in Nepali part, accommodation in Twin Sharing room
as per itinerary in budget hotel on BB basis, Sight seeing as
per the itinerary by English speaking Tibetan guide, monastery
entrance fees and all necessary transfer. One way flight ticket
to Lhasa is included.
COST EXCLUDES:
Lunch and dinner, Nepal re-entry visa fees,
insurance of any kind, expenses of personal nature and
extra cost of 05 –10 Dollars in case of land slide in Nepali
portion for porter and transportation.
